1 - Visit national parks
Madagascar is known for its exceptional flora and fauna, with many national parks to discover. Ranomafana National Park is famous for its lemurs and hot springs, while Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is renowned for its indri indri, the largest lemurs in the world. The Isalo National Park is also a must-see place to admire unique rock formations and natural pools.
2 - Discover the beaches
Madagascar has superb white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. The island of Nosy Be is particularly renowned for its idyllic beaches, coral reefs and scuba diving opportunities. The island of Sainte-Marie is also an excellent choice for its dream beaches and for observing humpback whales during the breeding season (July to September).
3 - Explore nature reserves
Madagascar is home to many nature reserves that offer a unique experience of Malagasy nature. The Ankarana reserve is famous for its karst formations and lemurs, while the Berenty reserve is known for its ring-tailed lemurs. The Kirindy reserve is also an excellent choice for observing Malagasy fauna, including the fossas, the island's largest predators.
4 - Musées à Madagascar

Madagascar has a rich culture influenced by its African, Asian and Arab origins. Visit the local villages to discover the daily life of the Malagasy people, their crafts, their music and their dance. Also, don't miss the local markets to sample Malagasy cuisine, including dishes based on rice, meat, vegetables and seafood.
5 - Go trekking
Madagascar offers superb trekking opportunities through its varied landscapes.
You can hike the Andringitra mountains, with its rugged peaks, bamboo forests and rivers, or explore the Tsingy de Bemaraha massif, with its unique rock formations and endemic flora.
