Katsepy, its lighthouse and Cirque Bleu

Katsepy, its lighthouse and Cirque Bleu

Located northwest of Majunga, Katsepy is at the mouth of the Mozambique Channel and the Betsiboka. If you want to come with your vehicle, you can take the baobab or Madaba ferry. There are two daily departures from Majunga: 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sundays. For the return, departures are at 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. Insofar as the number of vehicles is limited, it is best to inquire the day before at the boarding platform. You can also rent a speedboat via the Tourist Office (plan for crossing costs and guide fees); the speedboat can take you directly to the Lighthouse or to the Village of Katsepy.
